Guest Tickets
How can I book my Guest Tickets?
Please go to uq.reedgraduations.com.au and click ‘Guest Tickets’ to enter our booking portal (available From 4 July 2023 - you will be notified via email).
How many Guest Tickets can I book?
Graduates will be able to book 2 or 3 Guest Tickets for their ceremony. The number available to graduates is determined by a ceremony’s venue capacity and the number of registered graduates. Our booking system will automatically limit ticket bookings according to Graduate allocations.
Please note that the total number of attendees will be in line with the event’s COVID-19 safe plan. Attendees may be required to wear a mask on entry and exit of the venue.
How much do Guest Tickets cost?
All tickets are free of charge.
Is the guest seating allocated?
No, guest seating is not allocated.
I have placed my order, but I didn’t receive the email confirmation. What should I do?
You can download your order confirmation containing your Guest Ticket booking confirmation from your ‘My Account’ on our website. Please login to your Reed Graduation Services account with your username and password. You will then see a summary of all your orders which you can save or print. Please contact our office on 1300 361 806 or hello@reedgraduations.com.au if you need assistance with your login details.
Academic Regalia
How do I hire academic regalia for my ceremony?
Step 1: Click on the ‘Academic Regalia’ button on our website.
Step 2: Enter your student number (digits only). The portal will automatically determine your academic regalia type and display appropriate pricing.
Step 3: Select the full-set hire option.
Step 4: Enter your height in centimetres then select ‘add to cart’.
Step 5: Select’ continue shopping’ to stay on the same page or ‘view cart’ to proceed to checkout.
Is it possible to order and pay for my academic regalia on the day of my ceremony?
We cannot guarantee that we will be able to take new orders on the day. To avoid missing out, place your order in advance of your ceremony.
Will my academic regalia be posted to me?
We do not post your academic regalia to you in advance. If you have hired academic regalia, it will be available for you to collect before the beginning of your ceremony on graduation day (please see collection times below).
Where and when do I collect my academic regalia?
UQ Centre ceremonies: Collection of academic regalia will commence 2 hours prior to ceremony, collect your regalia from Level 2 of the Michie Building (9)
If I enter my height incorrectly, can I change it on the day?
Yes, our friendly customer service assistants will ensure you are given the correct size.
What does Graduation Academic Regalia include?
The term “Graduation Academic Regalia” refers to the garments worn during a graduation ceremony. This usually includes a gown, a hood and trencher (cap). For more information on this, please visit “ABOUT REGALIA”.
What is a Trencher? What is a Hood? What is a Stole?
A trencher is an academic cap with a stiff, flat, square top and a tassel.
A hood is a garment worn around the neck and draping over the shoulders to denote academic achievement.
A stole is a decorative vestment used to denote academic achievement.

What does academic regalia look like?
You will be able to view an indicative image of your academic regalia on the academic regalia booking page after entering your student ID number.
If I can no longer attend, how do I get a refund? How much notice do I have to give?
If you are no longer attending your ceremony, please contact our office as soon as possible.

Can someone else collect my academic regalia on the day?
No, due to the strict COVID-19 management of ceremonies, you (the graduate) must collect your academic regalia on the day of your ceremony.
Can I collect my academic regalia earlier than the listed collection times?
No, due to the strict COVID-19 management of ceremonies, you (the graduate) must collect your academic regalia during the listed collection times.
I’m not attending a Graduation Ceremony. How do I hire academic regalia to take photographs?
Academic Regalia is unavailable before and during the graduation period for non-ceremony attendees. However, It is possible to hire academic regalia for photographs after the completion of the graduation period. Please contact us directly from August 2023 to arrange this.
